Afton Jones

Greetings! I am a therapist and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I provide therapy services online to residents in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Vermont. My lactation services are provided worldwide. I am passionate about supporting women and mothers through the difficult challenges and transitions that life and motherhood can bring. I love seeing women become more self-aware, build confidence, break through barriers, heal, and achieve the goals they have set for themselves.

I provide perinatal and women's mental health services as well as lactation support services. I support women by helping them to work through mental health challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, work/family/life balance, and the overall adjustment to motherhood. I also work with women to support them with life changes and transitions, boundary setting, setting and achieving goals, and other challenges they may be experiencing. Additionally, I provide support for feeding challenges such as anxiety related to breastfeeding, weaning sadness and depression, guilt and shame around feeding choices, and unmet expectations related to feeding.

I am a mother of a fun, hilarious, and assertive daughter. My own experiences and challenges as a woman and mother have led me to the work that I do. In my free time I enjoy working jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and watching the HGTV network.
